Troy Townsin - Winery Dogs & The CBC on Wine

BC’S  Winery Dogs are Back!

The 2012 Winery Dogs of BC calendars have just been released with more than 30 photos of dogs that live at BC wineries. The wall calendars are put together by local author and CBC’s Time for Wine columnist Troy Townsin. Partial proceeds from the sale of each calendar are donated to the BCSPCA. You'll find the Muse dogs in the calendar-our poster girls!

“When you are out visiting these world class wineries a big part of the experience is the interaction with the people and, of course, the dogs who live and work at each winery. In fact because the calendars feature dogs who actually live at the wineries it is possible to plan a whole wine tour based solely around the dogs you would like to meet!” Townsin says, adding “The calendars are perfect as a gift for someone who couldn’t make the wine tour or as a memento for someone who did, or of course, they are also great for someone like me who just happens to like both wine and dogs! “

In previous years the calendars have sold out well before Christmas. They retail at $14.95 in stores and are available online at www.polyglotpublishing.com. They are also available at participating wineries throughout the province of BC, and at numerous VQA and private BC wine stores.

CBC Time for Wine – Tuesdays at 4.50 beginning 11 Oct 2011 on CBC 1.

The provinces only radio column dedicated solely to the promotion of BC Wine is back this Fall with an in-depth look at the wines from Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Columnist Troy Townsin joins host Jo-Ann Roberts each week as they taste their way through the Wine Islands.  First up will be the wines of Victoria and the Saanich Peninsula and then each week they will work their way north.
